Ok Loads of you will probably think I am mad but SKATE comes out on the same(ish) day as HALO3. And I'm getting SKATE.
Probably will be getting Halo but not until the new year, Skate is of more interest to me as a game and COD4 will be out in November, will anyone in their right mind be still playing HALO when COD4 hits the shelves?

Not that i'm saying that Halo3 will be any better but!
No sorry have never been in to sports sims etc..
and although Halo 3 has been too Hyped and I know I will be disapointed! But thats my personal hang up! Hey got PAWNKING to learn to fence ( with a sword , stolen goods)
Oh! and i can't skate board i'm crap at it!
i am no good at sports games (or any) but its halo for me and then COD4 bang goes my winter
"Finish the Fight" goes the tag-line.
I couldn't finish Halo 2, it got so utterly samey, every turn was "been here before".
Microsoft act like it's the second coming but in fact it's the third (tee hee).
The soundtracks for the Halo series are first rate and take pride of place in my collection, but you can keep the tired old FPS.
Mass Effect is where my pennies are going, now there's space opera.
The Halo Wars RTS game looks far more interesting, using buggies to bound over ravines to scout areas. At least it's the Halo universe with a different slant.
