Tips from the top (well not really the top but that's how the phrase goes)

If anyone has a guitar hero guitar controller (one with a detachable neck) and finds that the fret buttons sometimes do not work properly - which is F*****g annoying. It seems to be due to a bad connection at the base of the neck where it clicks together.

Simply get a piece of card (i used a rizla packet), split the guitar into its two parts, rest the rizla pack on TOP of the part that slides into the base and shove that mother ba ck together (it takes a bit of a push) the addition of the card makes the parts fit together more tightly and - it would seem - make a better, more consistent connection.

The neck and the body of the guitar does have some movement in it, which is just plain shit manufacturing. The card fixes this.

I also cleaned the contacts with my girlfriends nail file as the contacts were rather black, which can't have helped.

Cheers

The Dude.
